Make sure you don’t fall asleep before eight pm so you can adjust faster to a different time zone. Resist the urge to fall asleep too early because this will only prolong the disorientation of jet lag. Do your best to adjust to the new time as quickly as you can, so your jet lag will fade and you can enjoy your vacation.

Emails that hawk travel products should be considered suspicious. Do not read any emails related to travel unless you can remember signing up for that.

Inform your children about airport security the best you can. Prior to arriving at the airport, let them know exactly what will occur during the security screening process. Keep a close watch on your child. When entering the security check point, an adult should go through first so the child will be more at ease.
